We watch celebrities the way a hawk watches a mouse, and these days famous folks are likely to have menageries of their own. Here are three recent celebrity pet stories that caught our eagle eyes here at Paw Nation. Jason Merritt, Getty Images Robert Pattinson Loves His Dog -- and Acting Elephants Pattinson is best known for portraying a vampire at odds with a werewolf (in a little series of films called "Twilight"). In real life, he has no problem canoodling with a canine. Pattinson adopted a dog from a shelter, promptly shortening the pooch's name from Yogi Bear to simply Bear, telling MTV that he felt "Yogi was a bit much." The actor also had high praise for Tai, his elephant ...

OK, this vampire craze has officially gotten out of hand. First those "Twilight" books and movies got their hooks in the nation's teens, flipping the high-school social hierarchy on its ear by suddenly making goths cool. Then HBO grabbed the attention of seemingly everyone else in America with the hit vampire/sex drama, "True Blood." And since every single living person is now obsessed with the nosferatu, we figured there was nowhere else for the trend to go until we saw this Daily Squee photo of a neck-biting kitten. Seems the appeal of the blood-sucking undead isn't limited to only the human species! ...

Donna Ward, Getty Images Regardless of whether Bella, her "Twilight" character, chooses Edward (the vampire) or Jacob (the werewolf), Kristen Stewart's position on the matter off-camera is obvious. It's fur and four legs all the way! How do we know? Stewart chatted with David Letterman about the wolf-dog hybrids her mom raises, and said their oldest male, Jack, was her pet and "he's really sweet. He, like, falls at my feet." Letterman pushed the starlet, asking if owning these hybrids was legal or safe, to which Stewart replied that it was perfectly safe, and that her pets were really sweet, but didn't advise people to go out and purchase one of their own. (The laws regarding ownership ...

Jason Merritt, Getty Images Forget what you've heard about Kristen Stewart's rumored romance with "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson; the 20-year-old starlet only has eyes for one guy, and he's got four legs. (But no, he's not a werewolf.) Stewart is "obsessed" with her cat, according to Contactmusic.com. Stewart claims her life isn't nearly as glamorous as all the red-carpet appearances make it seem, telling Contactmusic.com, "I'm so boring. No I am. I sit in my house with my cat. I'm a crazy cat lady, just give me a couple of years. I have one cat but I'm obsessed with him." So, there you have it, Twihards. It's not Team Edward or Team Jacob; Stewart is Team Kitty all the way. We're ...

Frazer Harrison, Getty Images PETA has announced that Christian Serratos, one of the stars of "Twilight," is the latest celebrity to state that she'd "rather go naked than wear fur" -- and pose for a risqué photograph to drive the point home. According to PETA's Web site, although Serratos is accustomed to working with the non-living for the vampire saga, "she would never wear anything dead." The nude shot is a major departure from Serratos' past, when she starred in family-friendly shows like "Zoey 101," "Hannah Montana" and "7th Heaven," but it's not the first time the 19-year-old has teamed up with PETA. She previously posed for the organization's Save the Seals celebrity ad campaign ...
