At the Sunshine International Aquarium in Tokyo, the aptly named baby anteater Sunshine is having a little trouble keeping his balance. So, naturally, he climbs onto Mama's back to make his way around the place.

Six years ago, somewhere in Tokyo at a department store, someone came up with the brilliant idea to employ dogs to strut their stuff on a custom-sized red carpet as part of a fashion show for the furry set. We don't know where, exactly, or why, but we sure as heck are glad it happened.

Watch your back, Tyra! These pups are fierce, and not in the rabid sense.

It's official. We are moving to Japan.

The land that brought us Hello Kitty and the Harajuku girls is also home to "cat cafes," where patrons sip yummy beverages, sit on the floor and play with cats. Tokyo alone boasts 39 different cat cafes where people pay up to $9 an hour to play with a selection of more than a dozen different cats and kittens, some as exotic as Russian Blues and Persians. Super kawaii!

At Calico, the original Tokyo cat cafe that sparked the whole trend, weekends are so busy you need a reservation just to get in. "I want everyone to forget about their jobs and relax," Calico owner Takafumi Fukui tells Reuters.

With many apartment buildings in Tokyo forbidding pets, it's no surprise that cat cafes have become so popular. What better way to melt away stress than to pet a purring cat?
