Martha wrote about her beloved pet's passing on her blog, mentioning that she initially had a long wait for the remarkably beautiful kitten, which was bred in Connecticut. She said that her friends and guests often made a game of trying to spot the elusive, mysterious feline, adding, "I will certainly miss him and so will my other cats and dogs." A slideshow tribute to the cat can be viewed on the blog -- we definitely recommend checking it out.
Additionally, the domestic maven tweeted about Mozart:
"mozart the cat just died- he was nineteen and did indeed have a beautiful life. we just buried him next to pawpaw-he was a lynx himalayan."
This is the second time this year Martha has mourned the loss of a pet. In March, her chow, Ghengis Khan, was killed in a freak explosion at a kennel. Ghengis Khan was the grandson of Paw Paw, another chow of Martha's who died at the age of 12 the previous April.
