kitten.

Don't worry, Paw Nation; they're not really fighting. If this was a battle between good and evil, one of them would have a red lightsaber. Since they have green and blue ones, that means they're both Jedi. So they're probably just practicing. P.S. I literally would rather watch this 16-second video 510 times in a row than sit through "The Phantom Menace" again. ...

Good morning, everybody! It's a new day, a new week, a new chance to start fresh. Tabula rasa! Let's kick Monday off the right way with some exercise. Some light yoga might do the trick. Shorty has some poses he wants us to try. He's gonna start us off in our natural Monday-morning state: sivasana, aka corpse pose, aka lying down and not wanting to get up. Next he'll lead us into "gently" rocking from side to side, although you may wish to follow Shorty's rather loose interpretation of "gentle" and thrash around angrily, because it's Monday morning and you don't want to get up. From there, things grow increasingly spastic, and should have you up and fully awake in no time. Just don't cave in ...

Why is this cat so aggro at a pair of innocent green apples sitting quietly in the middle of the bed? 1. There is an ugly ol' worm in one of the apples and it's taunting the cat. 2. The cat watched "Yellow Submarine" and the green-apple bonkers squicked her out. 3. Cats are just super weird and even though they've been kept as pets since ancient days, humankind is still not able to explain all of their bananas behavior. Cat owners should have no difficulty answering that one. ...

Good morning, Paw Nation! You know, when I was a kid, breakfast-cereal commercials always ended with the phrase "part of this complete breakfast," showing a bowl of the cereal next to a glass of orange juice, milk, maybe some toast. That's all well and good, but I can't start my day without a heaping helping of cute, cuddly kittens. They're so cute, I could just eat them up. Not literally, of course. But it wouldn't kill them to put them in a bowl and pretend. So cute... om nom nom nom! ...

Sometimes the public finds a use for a product other than the one intended. Kleenex tissues, for example, were originally meant for ladies to use in makeup removal, but they became widely popular as disposable nose-blowers. When that happens, it may behoove a company to adjust the marketing of their product to reflect the popular usage. Let's reconsider the hamster ball. It's not that hamster owners don't use them, but maybe there's a lot more to them than the obvious. These kittens seems to have some fresh ideas. They're putting a fun new spin on a cat's love of hiding inside a container. More than one kitten in the mix, and there's a really playful party going on. Maybe the hamster-ball ...

Generally speaking, potential cat owners are advised not to adopt a kitten less than 8 weeks old. Newborn kittens are extremely delicate creatures, and ideally should spent their first weeks of life in the care of their mothers. But sometimes circumstances require that a human care for a newborn kitten younger than 8 weeks, or even from birth. This can be tricky, and requires owners adhere to specific feeding regimens, to pay attention to temperature requirements, and to avoid any number of other potential pitfalls that can harm or even kill very young kittens. Let's be very clear that we in no way recommend that anyone hand-rear a cat from birth unless there is absolutely no other ...
