hedgehog.
Look, not every animal is for everybody. We know that. It's difficult for us to come to grips with the idea that some people don't love all animals, but we know that it's true and we accept it. This little girl at the Daily Squee petting zoo is clearly one such person. She is not into that albino hedgehog, you guys. Maybe it's because it's albino and she doesn't understand what that means. Maybe she's intimidated and frightened by the hedgehog's spiny spines. In either case, she probably just needs a little bit of education and she'll come around. Or she could just look at hit cute, cuddly-wuddly face! Come on! ...
Am I on record stating that baby hedgehogs are the cutest thing? I've definitely thought that. Then again, I think the same thing about ducklings and piglets whenever I see a photo or a video of them, so take any of my opinions with grains of salt. Anyway, this photo is of a baby hedgehog, so right now I think that baby hedgehogs are the cutest things ever. Care to disagree? Do it in the comments section. [via Reddit] ...
A few months ago, we posted an adorable video showing a little hedgehog being given a bath in a bathroom sink. Well this is America, land of demanding more, bigger, and better. So here's a video of five pygmy hedgehogs taking a sink bath. Try not to overdose on how cute this is. ...
Bathing. We all do it (unless you're gross). And it's important to know how to bathe your pet. You gotta give your dog a bath so it won't be farshtunken. Chinchillas need special dust to take their dust baths. Got a cat? You're off the hook since cats bathe themselves, although it wouldn't kill you to take it to a groomer every once and then for a pro tune-up. What about hedgehogs? Thinking about getting one? You'd better know how to bathe it! You didn't think those spines cleaned themselves, did you? Here's a video of a guy giving his pet hedgehog a light scrub-down with a toothbrush. The hedgehog really seems to love it! Or hate it. Frankly, I'm not sure what those sounds it's making ...

Named after the first two hedgehogs ever taken in as pets by founder and 70-year-old retired criminal investigator and criminology professor Z.G. Hedgehogs are less popular housepets compared to dogs and cats. What are the most misunderstood aspects of hedgehog ownership that often lead to an unwanted hedgehog arriving at your shelter? Our ...
