Animal Fair Magazine's 9th Annual Halloween Pet Costume Party

Helping Humane Society animals was the reason this spooky season at Animal Fair Magazine's 9th Annual Halloween Pet Costume Party. Co-hosted by Animal Fair founder Wendy Diamond and the cast of National Geographic Channel's Rescue Ink (a bunch of tattooed, muscular bikers who attended dressed as... tattooed, muscular bikers!), the fete was held at a swanky Manhattan nightclub, and featured some of the city's chicest socialites and their cheekily-attired pups.

As you'll see in our slideshow, the always-crowd-pleasing cavalcade of pirates, princesses, witches and devils was augmented this year by one-of-a-kind costumes inspired by everything from Shrek to the pope!

It's almost Halloween -- and you know what that means! Pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating, and, best of all, elaborate pet costumes! We've seen some impressive ones -- from a Chihuahua dressed as a taco, to a cat dressed as lobster, to Dachshunds dressed as a crate of Chiquita bananas -- but we know that you can do even better. Send us pictures of your pet costumes and we may feature them in an upcoming gallery!
