Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Battle of the Cutest! In one corner, we have Shir, a Shirley Temple look-alike from New Zealand. In the other corner ("the other corner" being Shir's arms), we have Gidi, a snow-white baby goat.

Take your places, opponents. You will now be judged on the usual criteria: saucer eyes, precious accent, adorable curls, pink nose, tiny horns, and ridiculous squeal. On your marks. Ready. Set. Go!

Anne Hathaway Hits the Local Dog Park
Celebrities! They're just like us! Well, maybe not, but Celebrity-Gossip.net reports that Anne Hathaway and her favorite four-legged friend, Esmeralda, did hit the dog park last weekend, just like we did. Of course, she looked a bit more stylish in her fedora and aviators than we did in our yoga pants and ball cap, but otherwise, we're pretty much exactly alike.

Zimbabwe's "Noah's Ark" Gift to North Korea Causes Concern
Conservationists are concerned over Zimbabwe's alleged plans to give North Korea a menagerie of exotic animals, according to BBC News. The chairman of the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force is voicing his concern about whether or not these animals -- such as giraffes, baby elephants, zebras and more -- would survive in the new environment.

At Ellen Woodside Elementary School in Greenville, S.C., goats are the new lawn mowers. Seriously. The school is now aided by Wanda, Timmy, and Cosmo -- three goats -- who act as "weedwhackers." At least that's what third graders in Leah Sullivan's class are calling it.

The animals aren't just keeping the school's grasses trimmed, they're providing science and nature lessons as well, giving students the opportunity to see just how the animals eat and interact with each other outside of a petting zoo. The project has been so successful that the school district now has ten goats living at several schools.

Most importantly, at least to some of the adults, the goats-as-groundskeepers are earning their keep and could potentially save the school district up to $200,000 per school year. And you can take that the to bahhh-nk.

Last week, there was a dog in church. Now there's a kid on a bus. Of course, in this case by "kid" we mean "baby goat." This goat is awfully determined to get on that bus! Maybe it really wants to learn its reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic. Or maybe it just misses its girl when she's at school all day. Either way, there's only three words to describe it: "Funny. Silly. Funny."
