Early this morning, a mountain lion was spotted roaming the streets of downtown Santa Monica in the courtyard of an office building near a major shopping area. According to NBC Los Angeles, police and agents from the Fish and Game department reported to the scene in an attempt to capture the animal. The fossils indicate that the turtle, Carbonemys cofrinii or "coal turtle," lived 60 million years ago. According to Fox News, its skull was the size of a NFL helmet. A Humane Society employee made a shocking and devastating discovery while working undercover at an Oklahoma wild-animal park. According to USA Today, the employee witnessed and recorded the unsafe and cruel handling of wild animals, including multiple incidents where children were allowed close contact with tigers.
