Based on the ZooBorns website, the book series melds cuteness with wildlife conservation education, with 10 percent of the books' revenue going to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Conservation Endowment Fund. Twenty-six year old competitive diver Yang Yun was participating in a free diving contest (without breathing equipment) at Polar Land, an animal park dedicated to creatures that live in arctic weather. The event required each diver to sink to the bottom of a 20-foot pool full of beluga whales.
