Super Bowl .

The Puppy Bowl is back! Now in its ninth year, America's favorite sporting event featuring baby dogs is set to continue its tradition of injecting a healthy dose of cuteness that is otherwise absent from the gridiron on Super Bowl Sunday. Bigger and more popular then ever, the Puppy Bowl is planning some exciting additions for this year's event, according to TheWrap.com. Chief among them: hedgehog cheerleaders! But don't worry, cat lovers. The hedgehogs aren't taking the place of the cute kittens who perform the Puppy Bowl halftime show. Those precious felines will still be in full effect. Other new features this year will include on-field "in your face" cams, and off-field footage of...

Teddy Bear visited us last week, using his snacking skills to predict the winner of yesterday's Super Bowl. And wouldn't you know it? The New York Giants won the game, just like Teddy Bear said they would (much to my chagrin, as I hail from New England and a dyed-in-the-wool Patriots fan). Fresh from his prognosticatory success, Teddy Bear is setting his focus on the next great holiday, Valentine's Day. Does Big T have a secret admirer? It's not us. Our admiration for Teddy isn't secret; it's public and well documented. But somebody sent the porcupiny paramour a heart-shaped box full of corn. Naturally, Teddy opted to wolf down all the corn in one sitting rather than try to make it last...

Punxsutawney Phil isn't the only prognosticating animal out there. Our porcupine friend Teddy Bear is finally back, and this time he's showing us that there's more to him than just epic snacking. This time around, Teddy is picking the big winner for this weekend's Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Who does Teddy think it's going to win? You'll have to watch the video above to find out. And of course you'll have to wait for Sunday to find out if he's right....

The Packers may be getting all the press after the big game yesterday, but do you know who was the real super star of the Super Bowl? Dogs! That's right, two of the top three commercials from the event featured funny pooches. And they weren't just dogs doing doggie-dog things. The two ads that are tied for the No. 1 spot on the 2011 USA Today Super Bowl Ad Meter featured pups acting like -- you guessed it -- people. The Doritos ad (above) shows a dopey guy standing inside the house with a bag of Doritos, teasing a cute -- yet hungry -- pug outside. As you might expect, the joke is on the human when the pug hilariously crashes through the door to get the chip....

Animal Planet In what's become an annual awww-producing tradition, this year's Puppy Bowl has a few new tricks up its sleeve. From chicken cheerleaders to the Kiss Cam to watching the whole thing in 3-D, Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl VII just might make you forget about the Packers-Steelers game altogether! Meet the Puppy-Meister We recently caught up with the man who is in the middle of all the action: Puppy Bowl referee Andrew Schechter (who also serves as coordinating producer of the event). Schechter has been making tough "unnecessary-ruffness" calls for four years now and wouldn't have it any other way. "Some children grow up wanting to be firefighters; others want to be astronauts," he...
