The birds, which are native to the forests and woodlands of Australia, faced extinction in North American zoos as breeding programs had been largely unsuccessful. But aviculturalists at SeaWorld Orlando worked with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to develop a program to sustain the species' growth.
