Porcupine Eats Bananas

If you're an avid PawNation reader and funny-animal-video aficionado, it should come as no surprise that porcupines, namely one named Teddy Bear, love to snack. But while Teddy enjoys himself some corn on the cob, this particular spiky porcupine, Kemosabe, prefers a fruit treat. He loves to eat banana slices, but they must be given to him in his tree fort. Something about the elevation must bring out the sweetness of the fruit. Watch Kemosabe in his element in the video below....

A fledgling raven in a pain after a porcupine encounter sought help from a kind family in Nova Scotia, Canada. The raven, perched on a fence, cried out for an hour before Gertie Cleary went to investigate, Cleary's daughter said. The unfortunate bird had three quills in its face and one in its wing. With gloved hands, Cleary set about removing the quills one by one. The raven was either unable to fly away due to its injuries, or it was in enough pain to stay put and let Cleary help. "It reminded me of a child with a splinter and when you pull a splinter out, they holler and screech and pull their hand away," Cleary said. After Cleary removed the quills, the raven stuck around for a day...

Our favorite porcupine, Teddy Bear, is already celebrating one of his favorite holidays: Valentine's Day! And what might Teddy be snacking on this time? No dark chocolate hearts or bonbons for this prickly prince. All he wants is a big, juicy ear of corn. No surprise there, if you already know this hungry little guy. Thanks to Teddy Bear's owner, we can better understand what he is saying with a mouth full of corn kernels. Check out the subtitles and wish Teddy a very happy Valentine's Day. (Make sure to wait until the end to see what Teddy does when he runs out of corn!)...

Teddy Bear the "talking" porcupine is back, and this time around, the chatty little fella is getting a leg up on his sleepy groundhog cousins by putting to use his rodent-y powers of prognostication. The Super Bowl is this weekend, and you definitely want to bet on one of the teams to win, but you can't decide on Baltimore or San Francisco. So whose information are you going to trust: the Vegas odds makers who do this kind of thing professionally, or a hungry porcupine with a never-ending craving for corn on the cob? Yeah, we're picking Teddy too. This is PawNation; we always put our trust in the animal kingdom. But you'll have to watch the video to find out who Ted picked....

Finally, a candidate who is always honest and has a clear platform. Sure, Teddy may be a tad hard to understand, but his goals for our country are straightforward: more corn for the people, especially him. With a president this adorable, we would be on the fast track to world peace. While there may be some critics who believe a precious porcupine in a tie (a tie!) can't be the new leader of the free world, we here at PawNation know our brave citizens from all walks of wildlife often surprise us. Meet Teddy Bear the Porcupine

There is so much more to Teddy Bear the porcupine than meets the eye. Teddy first won us over with his compulsion for corn on the cob, as seen on YouTube. But when we delved a little deeper into Teddy's world, we learned that behind his insatiable appetite and those prickly quills is a real do-gooder who dedicates his life to…
