It's a sad day at the Pittsburgh Zoo. The first gorilla to be born there since 2001 has died after three and a half months, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. It is not clear why the male baby gorilla, who had yet to be named, died. Officials at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium said that the baby male gorilla was lethargic, sluggish and unable to cling onto his mother. He was then transferred to the zoo's Animal Care Center where Barbara Baker, the zoo's president and CEO, noted his worsened condition. An adorable sea otter that was found orphaned in Alaska arrived in style to his new home this week. According to The Pittsburgh Business Times, the otter was taken from Anchorage to the Pittsburgh Zoo by a FedEx Express plane. While it was probably a wild ride for the sea otter, the trip wasn't too out of the ordinary for FedEx Express.
