Sirga the lioness is overwhelmingly happy to see her favorite human, and she's letting him know it. Valentin Gruener, founder of the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana, Africa, rescued Sirga days after she was born when her mother stopped feeding her. He spent the first eight months of her life sleeping with her at the sanctuary. Gruener has remained close with Sirga throughout the years, going on long walks with her and even helping her hunt. Ruuxa the cheetah cub is recovering nicely after undergoing surgery to repair growth abnormalities in his front limbs. Keeping him company as his legs heal is his best pal, Raina the Rhodesian Ridgeback. Ruuxa and Raina teamed up when they were both about one month old, after Ruuxa was rejected by his mother.
