In the Gobi Desert lives an endangered long-eared jerboa who hops around like a kangaroo but is the size of a mouse. The Zoological Society of London is paying close attention to this footage because of the threat of the species becoming extinct.

We are paying close attention to this footage because we want the jerboa to survive. And, well, we want the jerboa. Want, want, want so bad. His ears! His tail! That bounce! Check out the video. We are sure you'll agree.

Here at Paw Nation, we know that every pet has a story, and it's usually a story their owners just love to tell. So we decided to hit the streets to ask pets (and their owners) about everything from how they were adopted to what was the naughtiest thing they've ever done. It's our weekly series, "Pet On The Street."

This week we're in Portland, Ore. asking dog owners about the things their pooches do to crack them up! Watch the video and then be sure to go to our comments section to tell us all about the funny things your dogs do.

We know you love animals and want to improve their lives. But we also know how busy you are. That's why Paw Nation is making it easy for you to get involved in the paws cause by sharing ways people are helping animals across the country and around the world. Use these ideas as inspiration for projects in your own community, or get involved directly with animal causes!

Click to Give: The ASPCA and Walmart have teamed up for a cool new initiative with an even cooler name: Lend a Paw. Every day that you visit the Lend a Paw Facebook page and click on the Lend a Paw tab, Walmart donates $1 (up to $100,000) to the ASPCA. And, if you're in the Miami area on May 1, you can help even more by attending the Pet Care Fair, an event sponsored by Walmart to benefit the ASPCA.

Sharing is Caring: The Austin Humane Society, with the help of ad agency Door Number 3, has come out with a series of adorably funny videos featuring shelter dogs and cats, proving that animal shelters and rescues don't have to use guilt trips and sad puppy eyes to convince people to adopt and donate. Share the videos with your animal-loving friends, and spread the word that shelter pets are cool!

Most dog owners will tell you that one of the best parts of owning a canine is playtime. Fetch with Fido is always a great excuse to go outside, get some leisurely exercise and watch your dog do his thing like a pro.

Unfortunately, whoever owns Amos doesn't have a reason to get up from the couch when the playful pooch needs to work off some energy. As long as Amos can get his own jaws around a Frisbee, he'll literally catch and throw the disc all by himself, and it's quite possibly one of the funniest videos we've ever seen.

Man's best friend just put a dent in the title, wouldn't you say?

Remember the video we posted recently of that adorable puppy who, as much as he tried, couldn't turn over? Wow, wasn't that cute? Well, a while has passed since then, the puppy has gotten older, his priorities have changed, and now there is a sequel documenting all that.

Forget about Iron Man 2. Here's The Puppy Who Can't Roll Over 2: The Puppy Who Can't Roll Over Yaps at a Cat Who Couldn't Care Less.

"So you're saying I can't come with you?"

Baby pandas are sweet, and sleepy pandas are adorable. But a video of a group of roly, poly pandas trying to go the wrong way on a slide? It's almost more cuteness than we know how to deal with. Can you handle it?

We've said it before and we'll say it again. Pandas: They're friggin' cute. They're so irresistible, in fact, that science has shown that even the most jaded and beaten down of misanthropes are thawed when presented with images of pandas at play. If there's someone in your life who's depressed or angry at the world, just show them this video of Yun Zi, the San Diego Zoo's 5-month-old giant-panda cub.

PRODUCTION PLAYER! DO NOT DELETE.

Very few people actually like Jell-O (exceptions: hospitals, college students, and Dr. Cosby).

Well, it turns out we can add monkeys to that short list of Jell-O fans. Zookeepers at the Bronx Zoo recently presented their squirrel monkeys with a batch of the gelatin dessert as a holiday treat. The adorable primates were fascinated by the jelly texture of the "food," but seemed more interested in getting to the more appetizing blueberries within. Watch the video below.

A cat betrayed his girlfriend, and boy do the claws come out! This video, the closest thing to a cat soap opera, gives a new whole new meaning to the term "cat fight."
