Ah, young love. What better way to signify the first blush of, um, fall?
OK, so maybe a couple of baby giraffes necking (get it?) in the African plains (or an environment made to look like the African plains) isn't an image particularly associated with the autumnal equinox. But just look at these two in this cute picture from Daily Squee. The shape of their long necks even sort of looks like a heart! And here at Paw Nation, we say that any time is a good time for love.

OK, this vampire craze has officially gotten out of hand. First those "Twilight" books and movies got their hooks in the nation's teens, flipping the high-school social hierarchy on its ear by suddenly making goths cool. Then HBO grabbed the attention of seemingly everyone else in America with the hit vampire/sex drama, "True Blood." And since every single living person is now obsessed with the nosferatu, we figured there was nowhere else for the trend to go until we saw this Daily Squee photo of a neck-biting kitten. Seems the appeal of the blood-sucking undead isn't limited to only the human species!

We'll be the first to admit that if we came upon this Daily Squee scene in our own home, it wouldn't be so darn cute. No one wants to find an invasive rodent snacking away in one's kitchen. But under these circumstances, with the furry little bugger having been given a treat to promote maximum adorability for what appears to be a professional photo shoot, we're happy to play along.

Not only does the stuffed animal here resembles a certain Who-hearing literary pachyderm, but even his European red squirrel friend looks like a Dr. Seuss character come to life, what with his wide eyes, slack jaw, and goofy ear tufts. Elephants and rodents might not historically be the best of friends, but these two seem to have discovered their common passion: peanuts!

Question: What's the best kind of wubby? Answer: A wubby that hugs you back!
Well, to be fair, a guinea pig's stubby little legs are perhaps a bit too short to allow what we consider a true hug, but this cutie from Daily Squee more than makes up for his shortcomings with this adorable combination smooch/nuzzle (smuzzle?). One doesn't normally think of felines and rodents as making the fastest of friends, but these animals are determined to buck trends.
