The stars of "True Blood" have, apparently, found true love. Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, whose characters -- Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton -- burn up the screen in the thrilling HBO vampire series, have taken their romance from fiction to reality.

Paquin, 27, and Moyer, 39, plan to wed, reports People. And Moyer's dog will play a crucial role in the wedding.

"Splash, my alpha, will be the ringbearer," Moyer tells People. "My son [Billy, born in 2000] might be unhappy about that." Moyer affectionately calls Splash, a 10 year-old border collie, "a grumpy little sod." Let's hope Splash will cooperate on the big wedding day -- which has yet to be set!

Having dogs be a part of the nuptials is nothing new to Michelle Rago, a celebrity wedding and event planner and designer often featured in InStyle Weddings. She has done a number of weddings over the years which included pooches. "People love their pets," Rago tells Paw Nation. "If my clients don't have their dogs actually participate in the wedding, they'll still incorporate their dog into their wedding somehow, by making custom stamps of their dogs to hand out, or cookies in the shapes of their dogs, or by donating to an animal shelter."
