A Pennsylvania man who allegedly shot a deer in the middle of a busy Wal-Mart parking lot will stand trial for the crime, according to TeddyHilton.com. Wildlife conservation officers allege that Arcangelo "Angelo" Bianco, Jr., was at the Wal-Mart in Derry Township, Pa., on Nov. 26 of last year, the first day of rifle season. Apparently, Bianco couldn't wait to get the season started, as he is accused of firing several shots at a deer he spotted in the lot, persuing the animal to an area where workers were loading ...

At PawNation, we don't condone violence. But the fact is that sometimes nature and animals are violent, and there's no point in ignoring it. We wish deer were peaceful and calm all the time, just as we like to imagine them, but it's not so. Bucks fight, like, all the time. It's how they attain/maintain dominance, and keep the pecking order in order. Normally, they fight with their antlers, but even if antlers aren't available, scores still need to be settled. That's when slap fights happen, epic slap fights, with bucks on two legs just slapping the heck out of each other. Watch the video below to see two pugnacious bucks get real slaphappy. ...

Many police officers will tell you that the majority of their job involves filling out paperwork and only some of the time is it about "catching bad guys." But sometimes, it involves just straight-up weirdness. In Kalamazoo, Mich., an officer questioned a man he found just sitting in his vehicle. The man hadn't committed any crimes, but told the officer he'd just hit and killed a deer, and was taking it home to use it for food. Wanting to check it out, the officer look inside the car's trunk. There was indeed a deer inside, but not a dead one. See if you can figure out who's more startled: the cop or the yearling. The deer ran into the woods and was not seen again. We hope it's doing well ...

When amateur sports enthusiasts strap on helmet cameras, they can usually capture some exciting footage of their athletic feats. But sometimes the camera catches an unplanned, unexpected moment. In this case, cyclist Jeff Plassman filmed his own collision with a charging deer, according to the Daily Mail U.K. Plassman was at Pocahontas State Park in Virginia, competing in the Monster Cross and Mountain Bike race, and filming his ride with a GoPro camera. He did not see the deer running his way and the two got tangled up at relatively ...

An Indiana couple is standing up to the law after being told it was illegal for them to rescue and nurse back to health a dying fawn who had been attacked by coyotes, reports the Daily Mail U.K. Two years ago, Jeff Counceller found the baby deer in dire straits, badly wounded and unable to stand. Counceller brought his wife, Jennifer, a registered nurse to see the animal. "I could feel all of the open wounds all along her back side and she wouldn't stand up," Jennifer Counceller said. The fawn's wounds appeared to be the result of an attack from another animal, possibly a coyote. ...
