Bonedigger the lion and Milo the Dachshund have quite the special bond. It was love at first sight after they were introduced when Bonedigger was a cub. John Reinke, a double amputee zookeeper, brought the pair together after he himself bonded with Bonedigger. The lion was born with a metabolic bone disease that left him slightly crippled, something that Reinke could relate to after losing both his legs in a bungee jumping accident. Reinke raised Bonedigger as a cub and has stayed connected to him after his move to the G.W. Exotic Animal Park in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
