Celebs are going cat crazy.

On Thursday, Nicole Richie introduced the newest member of the family on her website and Twitter account. Tabitha Jones Madden, as the cat is called, has actually been living with the Richie-Madden clan for about two months after being taken in from the street. Richie writes, "I couldn't resist. I fed her, and she was as happy as Benji Madden in a sorority house. Its been two months now, so I think it's safe to call her mine." We're sure her two-legged children, Harlow and Sparrow, are just as excited as their mama.

Another celebrity tyke who's undoubtedly enjoying some kitty cuddles is little Levi McConaughey, son of Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves. The couple took Levi to the veterinary clinic in Malibu and came out with a gorgeous gray cat, reports OK Magazine. This shouldn't come as too big a surprise; Matthew is a known animal lover. He helped rescue pets after Hurricane Katrina, and in 2006 he saved a frightened feline from being burned alive by some thugs in Sherman Oaks, Calif., according to Contact Music.

Susan Boyle's pictureToday int/X17online.com

British singing sensation Susan Boyle will be moving out of her childhood home in Scotland and into a tony apartment in the "wealthy Chelsea area" of London, reports Britain's The Sun. The move could happen as early as this summer.

It's a bit surprising considering Boyle's statements just a few months ago that she had no plans to leave her modest Scottish home because her 11-year-old cat Pebbles wouldn't like relocating. "She's lived there all her life and cats hate upping sticks," Boyle told The News of the World. 48-year-old Boyle is very attached to her cat, and being reunited with Pebbles was the first thing on her mind after she collapsed last year from exhaustion and was admitted to a London clinic.

But then, stalkers were spotted in the yard of Boyle's home in Scotland, and one even entered the home, reports The Sun, adding that executives at her record label -- Simon Cowell's SyCo -- have been pleading with her to move ever since. In a sign that a move to London might have been inevitable, in February, Pebbles was relocated to London to live with an elderly retired accountant who received $9 per day for caring for the cat while Boyle traveled and worked. (Boyle reportedly earned over $7 million dollars last year from sales of her "I Dreamed a Dream" album, which was released in November 2009.)

Just this week, The Sun reported that Boyle's management team was hunting for the perfect London apartment for the songstress and her beloved cat. "She has now agreed to move to a place in the city, where she'll stay when busy working," a source tells The Sun. "The flat will be cat-friendly, so she can take Pebbles too."

Betty White with a do pictureCourtesy of Morris Animal Foundation

At 88, Betty White's career is going as strong as ever. She recently starred in the hilarious Snickers Super Bowl commercial, which was watched by the largest television audience ever. She had an unforgettable turn as Ryan Reynolds' kooky grandmother in the 2009 romantic comedy, "The Proposal," with Sandra Bullock. And in recent weeks, there's been a Facebook campaign to get her to host "Saturday Night Live," an effort that already has close to 400,000 supporters.

White, who has been an actress for more than 60 years, has as much passion for animals as she does for show business and divides her time equally between the two worlds. For decades, she has worked with the Morris Animal Foundation to promote animal health and welfare, sponsoring more than 30 animal health studies that have led to groundbreaking research that have improved the lives of dogs, cats and horses.

On Feb. 15 in Las Vegas, Nev., the Morris Animal Foundation honored White for her commitment to helping animals enjoy longer and healthier lives. P&G Pet Care, who sponsored the luncheon, made a $10,000 donation in White's name to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation. Afterwards, White spoke with Paw Nation about her career, her much adored dog Pontiac, and how deeply honored she felt to be recognized for her work with animals.

Should I call you Betty or Ms. White?
Oh, Betty. That's so much easier.

How long have you worked with the Morris Animal Foundation?
I've worked with them for 43 years and they made me a wonderful luncheon today honoring me and, well, I lost it. I just lost it. I was so touched.

Food Network Star Rachael Ray needs a new recipe, but this time, it's for how to keep her much adored pit bull Isaboo from attacking other dogs. The TV host is distraught over the future of her aggressive dog and fears she may have to be put to sleep, reports RadarOnline.

While being walked by a dog handler in New York City earlier this month, Rachael's beloved pit bull allegedly tore off another dog's ear before her handler could tug the pooch away, according to a report in the National Enquirer.

Luckily, a vet was able to repair most of the injured dog's ear and Rachael and her husband, attorney John Cusimano, offered to pay for all medical bills, reports RadarOnline.

Rachael herself has been injured during Isaboo's run-ins with other dogs. The New York Post reported that when Rachael tried to intervene in dog fight three years ago, she was bitten by the other dog. In that case, it seems as though the other dog started the brawl, but the Emmy Award winner fears that Isaboo's behavior eventually will go beyond aggression towards other dogs and become a threat to children or adults, reports RadarOnline.

American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Director Mary Burch recommends that Isaboo get an evaluation by a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) or another experienced canine professional to help determine the severity, possible causes, and how to get the situation under control. When a CAAB is brought in, for example, the first step would typically involve the animal behaviorist accompanying Rachael and Isaboo on a walk where they're likely to encounter dogs so that the behaviorist can better assess the situation

Isaboo, who Rachael sometimes calls 'Baby," has made guest appearances on Everyday with Rachael Ray. The dog also appears with Rachael in ads for Nutrish, the chef's line of dog food and treats. Back in August, Rachael told Paw Nation all about her deep connection with Isaboo and her former dog Boo: "They've taught me so much about life and the capacity an animal has to offer unconditional love."

While Rachael clearly adores Isaboo, her pooch's aggression can have several causes and may be based out of fear. "Aggression can occur when dogs are protective of their owners (and owners reinforce the aggression), or when dogs are not properly socialized from an early age," says Burch.

But, there's hope for difficult dogs like Isaboo. Depending on the severity of the situation and the causes, it could take just several weeks or even just a few months for both owner and dog to learn how to keep antagonistic behavior under control, especially when she's in the presence of other dogs. "An animal behaviorist will spend a good portion of time training the person who is at the other end of the leash, in this case, Rachael and her husband," says Burch.

We wish Rachael the best of luck with Isaboo. What do you think about other, more vicious dogs? Do you believe that even the most aggressive dog can be rehabilitated or are some beyond hope."

Rachelle Lefevre, the actress who plays evil vampire Victoria in "Twilight" and "New Moon," recently brought home two new dogs after the loss of her beloved pooch, Honey, reports JSYK.com.

Soon after spending time in the hospital during the "New Moon" premiere, Honey passed away. The grieving star tweeted on December 17, "My heart is simultaneously forever healed and forever broken."

Honey was no stranger to the spotlight either. The rescued pup and her famous owner graced the cover of Modern Dog magazine's Summer 2009 issue.

Lefevre told Modern Dog that her four-legged friend adds to the perspective she tries to maintain as a celebrity. When asked who would play Honey in a movie of her life, Lefevre named Katharine Hepburn. "Katharine seemed so fiercely independent and Honey will cuddle with you, but she is not needy. She wants you to know, 'I'm going to take care of me,'" the "New Moon" actress told the magazine.

On December 30, Lefevre and her boyfriend vowed to honor Honey by rescuing two new pups at the start of the new year.

Sticking to her New Year's resolution, the starlet visited Baldwin Park shelter in California and brought home two new furry additions: Jack Sprat, a miniature poodle mix and Momma Bear, a cocker spaniel.

We hope Momma Bear and Jack Sprat are enjoying their new home!

Kenny Chesney's pictureSteve Granitz/WireImage.com

Country music star Kenny Chesney has found love with not one, not two, but three gorgeous gals. Of course, there's his girlfriend, Amy Colley (a former Miss Tennessee USA who currently works as a nurse), but now there are two more girls in his life: a pair of teacup maltipoo puppies!

According to CMT, Chesney and Colley flew into Bardstown, Ky. to meet with a breeder and buy a puppy. The breeder told the Kentucky Standard News that she had no idea the man playing with her puppies was a big star because she'd only spoken to Colley, whose name was on the contract.

While the pair had only planned on a single pooch, they ended up with two females, who they named Molly and Dolly. Since they'll only be around four pounds each when fully grown, we're thinking two is probably pretty manageable. And after all, the only thing cuter than a maltipoo puppy is multiple maltipoos!

Fashion photographer Brian Nice spent three years and a lot of nights on friends' couches to put together Rescue Tails: Portraits of Dogs and Their Celebrities, available in stores today. The book is filled with photos of stars and their pooches, all of whom posed in an effort to raise money for the New York Humane Society and Much Love Animal Rescue in Los Angeles.

Unlikely lovebirds Emmy Rossum and Adam Duritz sure looked sweet early Thursday morning as they crossed Astor Place in New York City's East Village. Rossum looked on happily as the Counting Crows singer cuddled her Yorkie Cinnamon inside his coat on the first chilly day of the year. Must be puppy love!

"Emmy recently touted her new beau as 'extremely kind' and 'thoughtful,' so his affectionate handling of her pooch certainly backs that up," says PopEater.com senior editor, Marc Schneider.
