According to AP, prison guards at the Monroe Correction Complex in Washington startled a curious bobcat while patrolling the perimeter of the facility. This animal's instincts must be a little different than that of a human, because the bobcat bolted through the razor-wire fence and into the prison yard, instead of running away from the jail. The complex's fence is built to prevent people from entering and exiting, but the agile animal was able to slip through with only a few scratches. According to KSAZ-TV, house cats Hima and Moki were very eager to meet a bobcat that wandered up behind their Arizona home. Many area residents are used to seeing bobcats in their backyards, but usually the animals aren't so personable.
