Animal Excrement Is the New 'Fertilizer for the Face' in Beauty Industry

You may have thought snail slime face cream was extreme, but what about bird-dropping facials and earthworm-excrement wrinkle butter? Hundreds of women are using these beauty products and have been for centuries, according to The New York Times. The "geisha facial" at Shizuka New York Day spa in Midtown orginated centuries ago when Japanese entertainers damaged their skin with their white makeup. The main ingredient of the facial is bird excrement, which has enzymes said to break down dead skin cells.
