A nonprofit group and others in Arizona have worked to make a prosthetic tail for a 7-foot-long alligator that had its tail bitten off. The Arizona Republic reports that the alligator known as Mr. Stubbs was one of 32 alligators confiscated from the back of a truck pulled over near Casa Grande in 2005. Forget Jaws; you have something new to watch for when hitting the surf. According to WCNC, A 10-foot alligator was found roaming around Holden Beach in North Carolina. The giant gator was spotted enjoying the waves, waddling in an out of the surf. The unusual shore sight attracted dozens of onlookers, though officials say bigger alligators have been seen on the beach. Eventually, police arrived on the scene and kept an eye on the animal until members of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission arrived.
