Got a fat cat at home? Perhaps a cat exercise wheel is just what the veterinarian ordered. A Kickstarter campaign is making the stationary feline fitness product a reality, having already raised more than $280,000.

The campaign's original goal was to raise $10,000, which it achieved in only seven hours.

One Fast Cat allows indoor cats the chance to get some exercise from the safety of their home, according to Mashable. Created by Sean Farley, the patent-pending product is available for preorder in four different colors. It costs $199 with shipping included. The wheel's running surface is made from closed cell foam to protect your pet's claws from getting stuck in the device.

The One Fast Cat website boasts that the product is made from recycled plastic, simple to assemble and easy to clean.

"The most important thing you can do to prevent boredom in your cat is to make sure their environment is stimulating," the website reads. "In field testing, our cat wheel has proven to not only enhance the physical well-being of our cat but altered [the cat's] disposition to be more relaxed and calm."

Just too expensive for something they might not enjoy long term.

Someone would have to prove to me that a cat would do it. Firstly, cats do what want all the time. Secondly, cats get bored very quickly. Has anyone out there every tried to herd cats? Cats are really great. However, they are not dogs or hamsters. Cats do what they want when they want it or there will be trouble. $199.00 for a 3 day interest time is a waste of money. Bring a new card box or paper grocery bag home. They will plenty of exercise and are fun to watch there interest.

If you are so worried about your FAT PUSSYCAT ....YOU CONTROL THEIR DIET.... Your pet is doing like you do They are just like a 2 year old kid..If you feed them when ever they cry they will get FAT .... and if you spend$200 on a kitty treadmill.. Ship your FAT PUSSYCAT to me. I will make it hunt Mice, Rats and frogs.. It will be ship shape or dead in two weeks or months depending on how bad it cries.. Return shipping required... If you want it back

LOL ... Not much chance of that working. Listen up: cats are not hampsters. They would never buy that thing.

Everything I have ever gotten, toys, and all kinds of divices to amuse last about two days maybe three. Only one that lasts is laser light. And a lot cheaper.

Sounds like a good idea... May get more interest if you show other cats responding to the wheel. As some have commented $199.00 is too pricy to take a chance on. Love the idea,. Perhaps if you incorporate a toy or other interest that will amuse the cat and keep kitty stimulated.

I could just see Fluffy getting in one of them things. He would look at me like I was crazy if I tried to stick him in that thing.
