Cat and Dog Escape Kitchen

More on PawNation: Behavior, Cats, Cute, Dogs, Funny, Relationship

Last week, we shared a video that showed a bunch of cats tormenting their canine housemates by stealing their dog beds. We feel a little guilty about perhaps having implied that cats and dogs can't truly get along under the same roof. Nothing could be further from the truth. Take Dexter and Gizmo as a perfect example of a dog and a cat that are squarely on the same team. Granted, their great escape is solely the work of the wily cat, but don't discount what the dog contributes in moral support.

Well, the dog was sending telepathic messages to the dog to turn the knob.

That was great. The true meaning of team work.

What team work? The cat figured out the solution, the dog took advantage it.

My late mom's cat had figured out the system too.....meaning that the doorknob was the source of getting in and out of the house. If she wanted either she would reach up, standing on her back legs, and pat the knob, yelling for someone to come and turn it. I miss them both.....they use to just crack me up.

Wonderful! I once had a German shorthair pointer and two cats. Whenever I hadn't yet gotten around to putting already-cooled leftovers away or hadn't yet cleaned up and there was lickable residue sitting in a pan at the back of the stove, an area where the dog couldn't reach, the cats would get up there and work to push it to the front of the stove and most often onto the floor - and then all three would share. However, truth be known - I loved watching them do it and always made sure that if there was something in the pan that would harm them (like onions or garlic) that I did not leave it on the stove. Otherwise, they had a ball - their favorites were the residue from pan-fried chicken and the leftover mashed potatoes.
