Chinese farmers have finally caught a 3-foot-long, 11-pound rat that had been terrorizing the city of Shaoyang, according to Yahoo News.

Apparently the enormous rat, which was 10 times the weight of an average rat, had been active in Shaoyang for some time, hunting and eating 7-pound fish whole.

Eventually, local farmers teamed up to catch the "ratzilla" and put an end to its reign of humongous rodent terror.

In parts of China, rat is considered highly nutritious and is often eaten, so the farmers who brought the ratzilla down then dressed the animal for its meat. According to Yahoo News, they broke two knives in their efforts to carve up the rodent.

That's a big, tough rat.

Of course, they killed it. Why keep a unique animal alive? Why study it to find out how it grew so large? Chinese people kill and eat anything, alive or dead. Sad.

That was a large rat , almost as big as the ones I've seen in Puerto Rico, the size of cats.... the part about this article I find hard to believe, is when they said two knives were broken while preparing the meat to eat.... obviously no cook would own a lousy breakable knife, not even a normal cook in China would own such a breakable knife , so who ever was cutting up the meat are people who have no clue what they are doing is my two cents worth ....bon appetite !
