Dog Reacts to Seeing Deployed Owner on Skypethe daily dish
Video calling has become so ingrained in our lives that many of us take for granted the ability not only to call anyone we love anywhere in the world, but also see them smile and carry out a face-to-face conversation. Yet there's one group that's still discovering the magic of webcams: pets. Here's the proof. Reddit user "nekofrog" posted this image on the link-sharing site with the caption, "I was deployed in mid-2011. This was my dog's very first reaction upon seeing me over Skype."
According to nekofrog, the dog's name is Kiba and she is a Jindo/Akita mix. The screenshot was taken three months into nekofrog's deployment. He's back home now, but he didn't need to wait to return for proof that his dog missed him.
Kiba's face is an mask of joy at hearing and seeing her master, mixed with astonishment at him being trapped inside an electronic box. "For what it's worth," nekofrog wrote, "my wife giggled profusely at this." So did we.
