JENNIFER LOPEZ AND CASPER SMART ADOPT A PUPPY TOGETHER

Hot on the heels of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart also adopted a new puppy together recently, also a brown-and-white boxer. The puppy, named Roxy, should prove a great companion for the couple’s other dog, Lil Bear. (E! Entertainment News)

JUSTIN BIEBER’S FORMER HAMSTER DIES

Justin Bieber angered some fans and animal activists in December when he randomly gave away his pet hamster, Pac, to a screaming fan. The fan, Tori McClure, vowed to care for the hamster and tweeted about him regularly. Sadly, Pac has now gone to that great hamster wheel in the sky. Knowing he was not long for this world, McClure tweeted a final pic of Pac and said she planned to give him a proper burial. No word on whether the cause of death was Bieber fever. (Omg)

LISA VANDERPUMP UPSTAGED BY GIGGY

“Dancing With the Stars” contestant Lisa Vanderpump showed up for rehearsal with a cute ball of fluff in tow. It was her charming dog, Giggy, all decked out in a purple sweatsuit. Whether it was Vanderpump’s intention or not, Giggy stole all the attention. Fans jockeyed for Vanderpump’s autograph, but undoubtedly a few of them wished Giggy had an ink pad with him in order to leave his pawprint in their books. (Daily Mail U.K.)

LAMAR GETS KHLOE A BOXER PUPPY

Lamar Odom has really been showing the love to Khloe Kardashian-Odom lately. Last week, the NBA baller sent his wife two dozen roses, treated her to a romantic dinner in Beverly Hills and, to top it all off, gave her a new puppy. The dog is a brown-and-white Boxer named Bernard Hopkins, or BHop for short, and Kardashian-Odom has been tweeting about him almost non-stop. (Us Weekly)

CORGI ACTOR FIRED FROM HELEN MIRREN’S PLAY

A 7-year-old Corgi actor named Lizzy has been fired from a London production of the play “The Audience,” starring Helen Mirren. Apparently, Lizzy would not obey Mirren on stage as she was supposed to. Lizzy missed her cue in 16 different performances. She has been replaced by a younger Corgi named Coco. That’s show business! MICHAEL VICK'S BOOK TOUR CANCELED DUE TO OUTRAGE AND THREATS

Michael Vick was planning a promotional tour for his new book, “Michael Vick: Finally Free,” but, unsurprisingly, Vick encountered some resistance from people who haven’t forgotten or forgiven his crimes against dogs. Outcry against the NFL star and his planned appearances forced the book’s publishers to cancel the tour due to threats of violence. (Dogster)

STEVE IRWIN’S DAUGHTER CALLS HER LATE DAD HER ‘SUPERHERO’

It’s been almost seven years since "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray, and now his daughter, Bindi, is vowing to continue his legacy. The 14-year-old said her father was her superhero. “He was the best dad ever, and for me, I want to make sure that his legacy never dies and I want to carry on in his footsteps,” Irwin said in an interview with the Brisbane (Australia) Times. Here’s how powerful the cuteness of puppies is: Even Bane looks like a softie when he’s holding one. OK, to be fair, Tom Hardy without the Bane mask is a lot less intimidating than his "Dark Knight Rises" character, but he’s still a tough-looking guy. Put an adorable puppy in his arms, though, and there’s nothing but good vibes. This photo was taken on the set of the movie “Animal Rescue,” a crime thriller about a lost pit bull.
