Two-Headed Lamb Born in Ghana

An extremely rare two-headed lamb was born Monday afternoon in a small village in Tarkwa, Ghana, according to Adom News.

The black-and-white-colored lamb has a normal body in every way except for its two distinct heads.

Witnesses say the lamb was born next to a spare parts and general goods dealer's shop called Sackious Ventures. Little else is known about the animal at this time, and its owner has not yet been identified.

Two-Headed Lamb Born in Ghana

The technical term for the condition of having two heads is polycephaly. Two-headed animals are very rare, but certainly not unheard of. Another two-head lamb was born in Shandong, China, in 2006. A two-headed lamb born in the West Bank in 2008 was seen by locals as a sign from God.

Todd Ray, host of AMC's "Freakshow," has gotten wind of the polycephalic lamb's birth, according to the Examiner. Ray, who has had experience with two-headed animals, says it's important to observe which head may be more dominant. "People often try to feed both mouths, but one may not have a functioning throat," Ray said.

There are a lot of animals who have been born with 2 heads or extra limbs. I have seen them on TV. There are also people who have the same misfortune---especially 1 pair that has been around for many years. A girl with a twin attached - 2 heads---they try and live separate lives but it must be so hard. I know that there is a man in the USA (I think) who collects "freaks of nature" and pays big bucks for them!

Never seen a two headed animal? TV had a whole series last year about the two headed girl/girls. They had separate working brains and described themselves as sharing a body.
And, yes, that's a goat! Never seen a lamb with shaggy hair!

"Witnesses say the lamb was born next to a *spare parts* and general goods dealer's shop..."
Surely, this could somehow have been worded differently. I'm just sayin'...

That is one weird animal. Are we sure that's not photo shopped? I mean come on. I know a lot of weird things can happen, but a two headed animal? I have never heard that kind of thing happening until now. I even live on a farm where I raise different types of animals and none of them have come out with two heads or anything like that. I say its a faked photo personally.
