A nonprofit group and others in Arizona have worked to make a prosthetic tail for a 7-foot-long alligator that had its tail bitten off. The Arizona Republic reports that the alligator known as Mr. Stubbs was one of 32 alligators confiscated from the back of a truck pulled over near Casa Grande in 2005. The alligator's tail is believed to have been bitten off by another alligator.
