In New Zealand at the Auckland Zoo, critically endangered Archey's frogs have been successfully bred. This is the first time this precious species has been bred at the zoo. Yay!

In Australia at the Perth Zoo, a very small nabarlek (aka, a pygmy rock wallaby) is receiving exceptional care. Norbert was found curled up in his mother's pouch after she was hit by a car. Now the little fellow is doing very well after being found by a wildlife rehabilitator. He's absolutely adorable!

JUST LIKE MAMA
At the Cincinnati Zoo in Ohio, Primate Center team leader Ron Evans is pictured laying with Gladys, a baby gorilla. This is how a western lowland gorilla mother would lay with her young. Gladys was born on Jan. 29, but sadly, her mother would not care for her. Fortunately, she is always surrounded by zoo workers and volunteers who act as surrogate mothers. So cute!

A male baby giraffe has been born at the Berlin Zoo in Germany. It's been four years since a giraffe has been born at the zoo. The newborn is pictured receiving a big kiss from his mama.

In Indonesia, dog lover Hondoko Njotokusumo takes his Golden Retriever, Ace, for a little joyride on a motorcycle. Handoko, a retired businessman, regularly takes his pooch for rides around the city. We're glad to see they're using proper protection!
