PETA ANGRY WITH BEYONCÉ OVER ANIMAL SHOES

Beyoncé may seem like she is running the world  right now, thanks to her Super Bowl performance, a documentary and her upcoming world tour, but PETA isn't pleased. The organization recently called out the singer for wearing custom shoes made out of several different kinds of animals. The shoes Beyoncé commissioned from Perfectly Made Kicks reportedly include crocodile and anaconda skins, stingray, ostrich and calf hair. PETA issued a statement asking the star to think more carefully in the future about her fashion choices and the animals that could be hurt in the process. (San Francisco Chronicle)

MEET THE POPE'S CUTE KITTY COMPANION

Now that Pope Benedict has officially resigned from his role, we bet his kitty will be seeing increased amounts of quality time. The cat is named Contessina. The Pope Emmeritus has made his love for cats clear throughout his reign, even authorizing a biography about his life from a kitty's perspective. (BuzzFeed)

JENNIFER LAWRENCE IS A CAT LADY IN TRAINING

Jennifer Lawrence better put her Oscar on a high shelf. The actress has shared that her cat, Cleo, has a marking problem. Lawrence recently went on Ellen to discuss her adorable cat's potty issues;  the talk-show host recommended getting another feline. J-Law didn't agree, but we wouldn't be surprised if there are more felines in her future.

'GAMES OF THRONES' STAR BRINGS CAT ON THE RED CARPET

Emilia Clarke shocked a few photographers when she brought a handsome cat as her date to a press conference for her new Broadway play, "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The feline will actually be Clarke's costar in this on-stage rendition of Truman Capote's novella. Clarke will be taking on Audrey Hepburn's famous role of Holly Golightly, while the kitty will be filling the paws of Golightly's pet cat, Cat. (Daily Mail U.K.)

KHLOE KARDASHIAN GOES PUPPY SHOPPING

The paparazzi may be on Kim Kardashian bump watch, but they are still keeping their eyes on the other family members. Photogs recently caught Khloe Kardashian out puppy shopping with Bruce Jenner. Khloe looked over several pups, but walked out of the story empty-handed. Now that takes some restraint. (Rumor Fix)

KATY PERRY TREATS HER KITTY TO A CATNIP FEST

Cat lover Katy Perry doesn't skimp when it comes to her pet's birthday. The singer recently tweeted a photo of all the goodies she got her cat, Monkey, for his third birthday. Perry made sure to get lots of catnip, since Monkey will be turning 21 in cat years, and she wanted him to party hard. We hope Monkey's morning-after wasn't too bad. (Teddy Hilton)

VINNY OF 'THE JERSEY SHORE' GETS A NEW DOG 

Now that the "Jersey Shore" antics are over, it looks like Vinny Guadagnino is feeling a little lonely. The former Seaside Heights resident adopted a Pit Bull from the North Shore Animal League. Guadagnino decided to name the beautiful puppy Bodhi, which means "enlightenment" in Sanskrit. (People Pets)

TARAJI P. HENSON POSES FOR PETA

Taraji P. Henson wants you to be an "Angel for Animals." The actress donned wings and posed with a dog to raise awareness about all the needy shelter animals seeking homes. As a longtime advocate of animals, this is not the first time Henson has paired up with PETA to get a message across. (Vibe Vixen)

MORRISSEY PLAYS FIRST-EVER VEGETARIAN CONCERT AT STAPLES CENTER

No meat for Morrissey. The former Smiths singer and longtime vegetarian has banned meat from his show at the Los Angeles' Staples Center. All the vendors will be selling vegetarian fare, and the McDonald's at the venue will be shut down. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from each ticket will be given to PETA. Morrissey says that he sees the show as a victory for all animals. (E Online)
