March 13 2013 at 3:17 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyif animals were not sold as pets they would become extinct due to our civilization growth capture can be observed to not damage wild population and bred to conserve every animals charactaristics, it is naive to dictate what others should do for unkown reasons. I would not like to keep pets, it can be cruel if not domesticated, but more stress would be experienced in the wild by far, this animal is vulnerable to habitat loss. That's evolution for you.
