Residents of Carrollton, Texas, witnessed an unusual event when a pair of wild bobcats confronted each other in a tense stand-off in a suburban neighborhood, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

Mike Martuscello and his son Kevin spotted the bobcats on their front lawn while the two men sat in their car. Kevin managed to capture footage of the confrontation using his smartphone.

While the bobcats mostly just stared each other down, their face-off did get a bit physical. "They were clawing and scratching, biting at each other, jumping up and down in the air. It was a wild scene," said Mike Martuscello.

But by the time Kevin started filming, the cats had resorted to growling in each other's faces until they broke contact and trotted off in opposite directions.

Carrollton residents have been advised to keep their pets indoors. The town is planning to set traps to catch the bobcats.
