Hair "tattoos" are no longer reserved for athletes and rappers. According to the Daily Mail U.K., pet owners are requesting groomers to shave "temporary tattoos" into the shapes of hearts and paws into their dogs' fur.
-
This innovative and stylish idea of "pooch patches" was that of groomers Jessica Allegri and Amanda Marshall of Groomers on the Green in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England. It all began when they tried it on their own Boxer, Ky.
-
"It was a quiet day and we thought it would be fun to shave a paw print on my dog, who comes to work with me," said Allegri.
-
Since then, customers have requested the same for their canine companions.
-
Customized pooch patches have ranged from snowflakes to flowers. One woman even requested a One Direction symbol.
-
It can take up to an hour to shave the shapes into dogs' fur, but it can last for around 14 weeks.

Don't people have better ways to spend their money? As a comment on society--are we going to the dogs--and taking our poor dogs with us?
