At the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden in Ohio, an aye-aye pops a pose for the camera. Just like a woodpecker, aye-ayes are percussion foragers. They use their long middle finger to tap on dead logs, listening closely for signs of insect larva inside.

At the San Diego Zoo, Rashidi, the youngest member of the black duiker family, gets a kiss from his mother. The little boy is 7 weeks old and weighs approximately 17 pounds. He has a very close bond with his mother, Robin, on whom he nursed for his first few weeks of life. He has now moved onto solid foods.

Barbary sheep at Zoo Praha in the Czech Republic have had their first baby. The sheep follow their mother soon after birth, and feel safe on the small rocks they're able to grasp onto. Cute!

At Lok Kawi Wildlife Park in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Joe, the 3-month-old pygmy elephant, is attended to by wildlife officials after becoming orphaned. He is now doing well and has a very nice life.

A tiger frog that comes from the forests of South America has propagated at Aquarium Berlin in Germany. There are currently 40 young frogs in a display case, where they will stay until they are properly grown.

French pianist Richard Clayderman plays the piano to two Galapagos tortoises, Dirk and Polly, at the London Zoo. The music is an attempt to put the reptiles in the mood to mate.

RHINO BRILLIANCE
At the Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Australia, Chikundo the black rhino has been learning how to respond to commands by keepers. Here, he is seen lifting a log with his horn, something he'd just learned. What a smart one!

SWEET SCOOTIES
Scooty terns are currently being looked after by Amy, a nurse at the wildlife hospital in Australia at the Taronga Zoo. Fourteen terns arrived malnourished after a long weekend of storms. They're making a good recovery, and are now starting to eat fish by themselves.

A clouded leopard has some fun prancing around in this past Saturday's winter snowfall at the Nashville Zoo in Tennessee. It's amazing how animals have the ability to adapt to different climates. Awesome!

Five-month-old Siberian tiger cubs make their public debut at Howlett's Wild Animal Park in Britain. Their names are Kazimir and Arina, and they have been hand-reared by keeper Ben Warren since their mother abandoned them. They're so cute!

NAME ME, MAYBE?
Today at the Phoenix Zoo in Arizona, a baby zebra will be named! The youngster's mother, Masika, will choose from three bags of treats, each labeled with a name. The name options are: Akili, Bakari and Pembe. We can't wait to find out what name Masika chooses.

Beautiful South African springhares look as curious as ever at the Berlin Zoo. Being nocturnal, their daily rhythm is reversed since they are most active at night.

At the Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo in Florida, members of the manatee relief team prepare to help load Lorac into a harness for release into the ocean. Lorac, a 2-year-old female West Indian manatee, was rescued after being found orphaned near Cape Coral in 2010. She is being released in Homosassa Springs.

IT'S A BEARY GREAT LIFE
A gorgeous bear is seen in the forest of the Carpathian National Nature Park, near the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, enjoying nature at its best. The park happens to be one of the biggest rehabilitation centers in Europe for bears. Currently, there are eight bears, formerly used for tourist entertainment, residing at the beautiful center, where they are able to live in conditions very similar to their natural habitat.

On Jan. 11, a little black-footed penguin chick was born at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, N.J. The chick gets bigger and stronger each day, and now weighs 1 pound 3 ounces. The youngster spends most of its day with its mother and father, who take turns feeding and warming the little one.

At the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, a pretty koala arrives from the land down under just in time for Valentine's Day! Alinga will join the other resident koalas at the zoo, two males named Goonaroo and Yabbra.

TAPIR SWEETNESS
A Malayan tapir is going on show for the first time today at the Chester Zoo in Cheshire, England. Marjorie is 10 months old and just moved from the Belfast Zoo. She is the first of her kind at the zoo since the mid-'80s, and can be seen out and about on the paddock. So sweet.

GROUNDHOG GUESSING
Groundhog Punxsutawney Phil is held by co-handler Ron Ploucha at the 127th Groundhog Day Celebration at Gobbler's Knob in Pennsylvania. There were approximately 35,000 people gathered together at the event to watch Phil's annual forecast prediction. Phil did not see his shadow, which means winter will continue for six more weeks.
