Miniature Horses Disrupt Oklahoma Highwaythe daily dish
Two miniature horses recently found themselves off the beaten path and on an Oklahoma highway. According to WCSH 6, officials spent hours corralling two small horses, named Aurora and Prince Phillip, who found their way onto the busy thoroughfare.
Resident Jeannie Troxel first spotted the mare and her colt wandering on the side of the road on her way to work. Troxel pulled to the side of the highway and tried to contain the miniature horses. She was later joined by local highway patrol and animal control.
The group spent hours trying to move the curious pair onto a trailer heading back to their fenced-in home. Aurora and Prince Phillip were eventually secured, but Aurora escaped during the loading process.
After a bit more frolicking and a tranquilizer dart, Aurora joined her colt in the trailer. Both horses are now safely back home. Luckily, no one was seriously injured during the debacle, but the scene did cause a car accident and gridlock on the highway because of curious drivers.
