Today is Facebook's ninth birthday, and in its nine years, the website has completely changed the way the world operates online, including how we discover new trends. In a pre-Facebook world, how would we have discovered Boo, the World's Cutest Dog? We shudder to think of him languishing in obscurity. Here are some of Boo's best photos ever uploaded to his Facebook wall.

PERCUSSIVE POOCH

Someone bought Boo a xylophone. He doesn't have the opposable thumbs to use mallets, but he can still hit the bars by booping them with his cute little nose.

THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY

Boo wanted to go on a real African safari, but it's too dangerous. So, he did the next best thing and took a stuffed-animal safari in his own backyard.

GOLDEN BOO

When we asked Boo what city he lived in, he mentioned "The Windy City," "The Big Apple," "The Big Easy," "The Motor City," and "The City of Brotherly Love." He's confused about the nickname, but he knows it's San Francisco, "The City by the Bay."

THE LITTLEST HIPSTER

Those aren't actually prescription specs Boo's wearing. They're just for style. Sometimes you've gotta appeal to the kids in the Mission district.

SNEAKY BOO

Sometimes Boo likes to hide in the bushes and jump out and scare people when they walk by. Maybe that's how he got his name. It's all in good fun! But don't go to the bathroom while you're in there, Boo.

iPUPPY

Boo's playing "Tap Pet Hotel" on his iPad. He's happy to have been included in the game as a special character, but the difficulty level is frustrating for him. He's stuck on level one. Just look up a strategy guide online, Boo!

BOO'S CHEERFUL CHECKUP

Unlike most pets, Boo seems to really dig visiting the vet! Maybe because unlike most pets, everyone recognizes Boo and treats him like the celebrity that he is. It's just one of the perks of being the World's Cutest Dog.

RESTING HIS EYES

Boo ate a little bit too much kibble at lunchtime, and now he's got a case of the afternoon blahs.

THE MORE, THE MERRIER

Boo's glad he's found so much popularity and gained so many fans, but he doesn't seem on board with the merchandising. Maybe he thinks the plushies are diluting the cuteness of his brand. Don't be jealous, Boo.

PULL OVER, BOO!

Boo is all like, "I'm sorry, officer, but I don't have a license, registration or proof of insurance. I'm a dog, you see."

WORST. CAR RIDE. EVER.

Boo was all excited to take a car ride, but a few minutes in, his owner revealed that she hadn't brought treats. That's when Boo made the meanest look to ever cross his face! Still cute.

ALL ZIPPED UP

Just because Boo has what looks to be the softest, fuzziest fur a dog ever had, it doesn't man he doesn't still like to wear a hoodie from time to time. Everybody likes a comfy hoodie.

GROUCHO BOO

Boo is a fan of comedy classics. When we told him that most dogs these days have never even heard of the Marx Brothers, he waggled an imaginary cigar as if to say, "Why that's the craziest thing I evah hoid!"

BATHTIME BUMMER

For the most part, Boo seems like a happy dog who loves life. But nobody can be happy all the time, and one thing that makes Boo not happy is baths. Here he is looking freshly scrubbed and totally bummed out about it.

ALL WE ARE SAYING IS GIVE BOO A CHANCE

Boo didn't always have the short, punk rock haircut that's made him so recognizable. Back in the day, he was a long-haired hippie, like most other Pomeranians.

PEEKA-BOO

Boo likes playing hide-and-seek, but he's not very good at it. He can't figure out how everyone finds him so quickly. We'll tell you the secret if you promise not to tell Boo. OK: Boo is so cute that he generates audible cuteness vibrations. If you stay perfectly still and quiet, you can actually hear where he is.

RETRO TOYS

Boo is a big fan of the Pound Puppies toy line from the 1980s. He appreciates the message the toys sent, that there are millions of dogs in animal shelters who need loving homes.

CREATURE COMFORTS

Boo loves to go camping! But he also loves central air and maybe a movie on TV, so his favorite place to camp is inside his house.
