    TAPIR SCARE

    It was touch-and-go there for a while for a male Baird's tapir born at the Nashville Zoo on Jan. 12. At birth, its embryonic sack didn't break, and the little guy wasn't breathing. But after lifesaving efforts from the zoo's staff, the baby is doing fine.
