Mary the sun bear is seen displaying great wild behaviors at the Taronga Zoo in Australia. Here, she is tearing branches to make a nest high in the trees. In the wild, this behavior would help keep Mary secure from predators.

CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK
An 8-year-old female drill monkey named Kaduna holds her newborn baby at the Munich Zoo in Germany. The baby was born on Jan. 24, and keepers have yet to find out whether it is male or female.

FOR BAT-TER OR WORSE
A chiroptera bat is fed larva by a woman at the French Birds' Protection League Center in Rosenwiller, France. So far, the LPO center has rescued 500 bats.

BEAUTIFUL BAMBI
Bambi the dog was born without front legs, thus deemed 'kangaroo dog". Bambi is owned by a street vendor named Rita Tulipas in the Philippines. So adorable!

PARA-CLEAN
In Florida at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, parakeets work together to clean a pair of sneakers. How about a nice tip for these little fellas?

SO LONG, ORANGUTAN CLAN
Four gorgeous orangutans, Ramon, Vicky, Cherie and Summer, are leaving the Blackpool Zoo in England next week for the new home 80 miles south in Chester. They will be off show at the Chester Zoo, so go see them before they leave Blackpool!

FAWN'S FIRST STEPS
A precious impala fawn has just recently been born at the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens in Florida. The little girl is just a few weeks old, and can be seen daily at the zoo and historic botanical garden. So cute.

MAKE WAY FOR BOONE
A black rhino name Boone makes his way toward a Baltimore Ravens logo that has been made out of vegetables at the San Francisco Zoo. The rhino beauty was named after San Francisco 49ers player, Alex Boone.

BOOMING BARBIRUSAS
At the Chester Zoo in the U.K., barbirusa piglets have just been born. They are the rarest pig species in the world.

LUCKY LIONS
The Bristol Zoo's Asiatic lion cubs Kamran and Ketan had it rough early. Their father died less than two weeks after their birth, and their mother couldn't care for them, so the zoo staff was forced to hand-rear them. But after a little over a year of careful feeding and monitoring, the cubs are doing well. Stay strong, fellas.

CROC TOTS
You're looking at Crocodylus Park's first saltwater crocodile hatchlings of the season. About 3,500 of these chompers are expected to be born between now and June. They look cute now, but when they grow up, they'll have some serious bite. -
POPULAR POOCHES
Bulldogs Munch and Dominique made an appearance at the American Kennel Club's press conference on January 30, 2013 in New York. The AKC recently released the latest list of the most popular dog breeds in America. Bulldogs were No. 5 on the list. -
BABY GIRAFFE
18-day-old giraffe Jengo stands tall at Zoo Frankfurt in Germany. Jengo was born on Jan. 12 to 17-year-old Chira. He is her seventh child. -
PLAYFUL ANTEATERS
Giant anteaters Maroni and Choccy are enjoying having fun in the snow at Longleat Zoo in Wiltshire, England. Little Choccy is getting so big! -
LOST AND FOUND
Researchers found this 3-month-old sifaka on a Madagascar road. The baby was all alone, probably after having fallen off its mother's back, and it could not have survived on its own. Fortunately, the team knows the area and its inhabitants so well that they were able to find the baby sifaka's family, and reunite mother and child. -
GORILLA FAMILY UNIT
This western lowland gorilla baby was born to mother Ozala and father Oumbie on Jan. 3 of this year. According to zoo staff, Ozala and Oumbie are both attentive and protective parents. That's a lucky baby! -
YOUNG AT HEART
Two of the oldest penguins at Fort Wayne Children's Zoo are celebrating birthdays. Right Red (pictured) and Left Plum are 32 and 30, respectively. The birds were treated to a birthday "cake" made of ice and fish. Because you're never too old for ice and fish. -
CUB STORY
Two cougar cubs were found alone and starving near Missoula, Montana. The location of their mother unknown, the cubs were presumed orphaned. Officials contacted the Oregon Zoo for temporary placement. The cubs were taken care of there for two weeks, but they recently left for their new, permanent home at the Chattanooga Zoo in Tennessee. -
HAVE YOU SEEN THE BABY?
Cue Henry Mancini. This baby elephant was born just two weeks ago at Melbourne Zoo in Australia. He's spent the time since his birth bonding with his mom, but was recently introduced to his extended family. All the commotion made him a little nervous, but we're sure he'll warm up to his relatives very soon. -
COOL KOALA
The is Coral the koala, who lives at Taronga Zoo in Australia. It looks like Coral is napping pretty hard, but looks can be deceiving. This is actually a way for koalas to regulate their body heat. -
KICKY KITTENS
We know you know the Puppy Bowl returns this Sunday, but we want to remind all cat lovers that there's something in it for you to: the kitten half-time show! The Puppy Bowl is held partly to raise awareness of the needs of shelter dogs, and Puppy Bowl doesn't want anyone to forget that homeless cats need homes too. -
WHITE ON WHITE
Lions and tigers may not interact so closely in the wild, but this special group of white tigers and white lions in Hodenhagen, Germany's Serengeti-Park Zoo is bonding over their shared coloring. The cubs were born in October and November of last year. -
DIPPIN' GIRAFFE
We're a little more used to seeing giraffes eat from tall trees, gracefully craning their long necks to reach high in the sky for their meals. Water isn't so easily attainable up high, though, so when they're thirsty, giraffes need to get low, like Jasiri here at Reid Park Zoo. Not quite as graceful. -
TAPIR SCARE
It was touch-and-go there for a while for a male Baird's tapir born at the Nashville Zoo on Jan. 12. At birth, its embryonic sack didn't break, and the little guy wasn't breathing. But after lifesaving efforts from the zoo's staff, the baby is doing fine. -
COLOBUS CUTENESS
Makena the baby Colobus monkey was born in November. At her young age, she's still covered in soft white fur. Eventually, though, Makena will begin to grow the black and white colors of an adult Colobus monkey, just like her mother, Isis. The pair are seen here at home at Drusillas Park in the U.K. -
CHILLY PIGLETS
Zoo Leipzig in Germany is happy about the births of four visaya warty pigs. The piglets are almost a month old, but they haven't been outside yet because of the cold weather. -
OK OKAPI
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo wants everyone to know that their 3-week-old okapi calf is thriving. The calf is nursing exclusively and weighs 118 pounds, up from 64 pounds at birth. That's an average of almost 20 pounds of weight gain per week so far. Dang! -
MAGNIFICENT MEERKAT
The Chester Zoo in England is very excited about a recent addition to their family: a new meerkat pup! The zoo hopes this cute little fella will net them some Facebook likes. -
PRIDE OF THE SKIES
The snowy weather seems to add an extra dose of class to this already majestic looking European white-tailed eagle at Burgers ' Zoo. Snap a good enough pic of this raptor and it'll be the pride of your Instagram account. -
STORMY PANDA WEATHER
Xiao Liwu the panda cub made his public debut at the San Diego Zoo earlier this month, but here he is, hiding in the warm embrace of his mother, Bai Yun. It's not that he's shy; it's just that it was raining in SoCal this week! -

The Duke Lemur Center is celebrating the birth of a new sifaka. Her name is Beatrice of Swabia, and she was born to mother Rodelinda and father Marcus. Beatrice has a sister named Bertha of Sulzbach. All of the Duke Lemur Center's sifakas are named for Roman emperors.

Japanese macaques huddle together for warmth at the Awajishima Monkey Center in Sumoto, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. The country currently is experiencing extremely low temperatures and snowfall.
