Dog Abandoned for Being 'Gay,' Scheduled to Die at Shelter

A dog in Tennessee is scheduled to be put down at his shelter this afternoon if no one adopts him, all because his original owner thinks the dog is gay and surrendered him.
According to the (U.K.) Daily Mail, the dog's former owner observed the animal hunched over or mounting another male dog, which led the man to conclude that his pet was a homosexual. Dog experts have been quick to point out that this type of behavior is normal in male dogs, and is usually an indication of dominance or other non-sexual behavior, not sexual preference.
But because the man believes the dog is gay, he brought the animal to a shelter and surrendered him. Now, because the shelter is overcrowded, the dog is set to be euthanized unless someone adopts him at the last minute -- which is approaching quickly. The dog is to be put down hours from now, at 1 p.m. EST in Tennessee.
A Facebook page has been created to find a home for the dog. The dog's photo was posted to the page with the message, "Don't let this gorgeous dog die bc his owner is ignorant of normal dog behavior! He's in kennel 10L and he WILL be put down tomorrow bc there is no room at the inn!"

The dog was acting NORMAL but because this un educated moron thought his dog was "Gay" he decided to dump him off at the pound. Poor dog! Obviously the dog is better off NOT being with that A hole! Also, Pit bulls are NOT monsters! It's the jack ass humans who turn the dog mean! I knew plenty of pits that were sweet dogs that wouldn't and DIDN'T hurt a fly! There's no bad dogs, only bad PEOPLE!

The good news, since I stressed over this dog is that he was adopted!!!!!!!!! There were over 10 million inquiries about adopting him and he is now secure in a home that understands dog behavior! Glad he is out of the hands of an idiot. I can rest now!
