A court may find that the groomer owed you (and your dog) the duty of reasonable care and that the groomer was negligent in the handling of your dog. In New Hampshire, one can sue in Small Claims Court for up to $7,500.
I'm sorry I meant that he was not micro chipped at the time
Hello I am trying to reclaim a lost puppy that I bought for my son. It's a boston Terrier that I bought for my son as a gift. He has sickle cell disease and the dog Dexter is his name has been therapeutic for him. The finder is not trying to release him to its. It has been about 10 months yet we just saw the dog a week ago in which at that time the finder said that we could have the dog back then a couple days later text me and told me that he and his wife decided to keep him. They live not even 100 yards from us in our neighborhood. What can I do to reclaim our boston who is family. He slipped out our back door after taking a bath and we could not locate him after checking the local authorities. He was noticed chopped. I tried the local authorities at that time and there was no sign of him. I have doctor records and have been in contact with the person that I purchased him from to vouch for my ownership. What can I do?
