Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be eaten by a tiger? If so, your fantasy probably didn’t last very long, since it’s terrifying to imagine. But now, thanks to the tigers at Longleat Safari Park in England, you can see what it’s like from the comfort of your desk.
-
According to the Daily Mail U.K., staff at Longleat built a couple of snowmen for the tigers to play with, surreptitiously hiding a GoPro camera in the shoulder of the taller snowman.
-
Once the staff left the enclosure, the tigers went straight for the snowmen.
-
The curious cats began submitting the snowmen to a close inspection.
-
It wasn’t long before the heavy tigers brought the snowmen to the ground.
-
One of the tigers, named Soundari, found the hidden camera, and thought it was a snack.
-
After spotting the camera, Soundari "tried to pick it up in her jaws but decided she didn't like it and dropped it," said Longleat spokesman Steve Mytton.
-
The camera captured spectacular images of Soundari's muzzle and jaws as she tried to eat the device.
-
"It must be unique footage showing the inside of a tiger's mouth and what it must be life to be its helpless prey," said Mytton. "We have never seen footage like it before."
-
The footage of the inside of Soundari's mouth was even clear enough that zookeepers were able to use it to complete a dental check on the tiger.
-
Eventually, Soundari figured out that cameras aren't food, and spat out the GoPro. "The camera was still working when we retrieved it later and we couldn't quite believe the quality of the footage," Mytton said.

Soundari is one of four 7-year-old tigers at the zoo. The others are Svelti and Shouri, females, and Turlugh, a male. Watch the video of their fun with snowmen, and of Soundari going to town on that camera.
