Dolphin Entangled With Fishing Line Rescued by Divers in Kona, Hawaii
On January 11, a bottlenose dolphin approached a diver off the coast of Kona, Hawaii. With his underwater lights, Keller Laros noticed something was wrong with the dolphin: its pectoral fin was entangled in fishing line. Luckily, Laros was able to cut the line with his diving knife. And thankfully for us, this magical and heartwarming moment was captured on video. More and more animals are being entangled in the debris scattered across the world's oceans. Last year, the NOAA collected 50 metric tons of trash. It is their hope that this video encourages everyone to "make better decisions about the ocean and the creatures that inhabit it."
