Actually dog fur is extremely warm. Usually too warm to wear on its own. Its best if mixed with wool. One of my warmest winter jackets was 60% Shetland wool, 30% Mohair and 10% Great Pyrenese dog fur. For someone living in a really cold area, I would totally recommend it.
