Dixon tells The Daily Mail, "When I saw her, I knew I wanted her. The sign said free to a good home so I had her, we have been best friends since."

My dear cat, Friday, passed away this week at 20 years of age. She was a gorgeous Maine **** born on a farm. My son gave her to me when he left for college and our dog passed away, leaving me alone (my husband traveled for work). The picture above is of Itty Bit---she is 6 years old and was blown out of a hay truck when our neighbor's lawn was installed. She's a pistol, but we love her!

I think this is really neat. A few years ago we had a cat called Moses who we 'inherited' from a neighbor. Moses was an indoor/outdoor cat who had been hit by a car and as a result had to have one of his rear legs amputated. When he was well enough to go out again his original owner, the neighbor, said Moses never forgave him for taking him to the vet for the amputation. So Moses, who had been just a visitor on occasion to our house, decided he was moving in with us. Moses made his home with us for 13 years and before that he had belonged to the neighbor for 10 years - ever since he was a small kitten. He is the only cat I ever had that lived to be 23 years old.

Her vision isn't so keen these days but she's still active and lives on my bed!

Of course she also gets a lot of TLC. FYI. Viralyis( L-Lysin) also seems to keep flees at bay and leaves her coat so very soft. Try it, you'll be happy you did.
