DAWN DISH SOAP FOR FLEAS
Dawn dish detergent is good for more than just cleaning grime off dishes and saving wildlife from spilled oil. The blue stuff can also be used to kill fleas that are plaguing your dog. Add a small amount of Dawn to your dog’s bath. The soap penetrates the pests’ exoskeletons and kills those suckers good and dead. It can work as well or better than some of the over-the-counter chemical stuff. (Prevention)

And, a lot easier and cheaper than trying to put it into a hotdog or cheese, or crushing pills to put it in their dog food.
Garlic is toxic to dogs in certain amounts (like a whole clove, onions have the same chemical as well); I have treated my 4 Labs with Brewers Yeast with Garlic and sprinkle granulated garlic on their food (probably about 1/4 tsp. morning and night) for the past 5 years and haven't had a flea. I got tired of putting toxic chemicals on them and this combination works. I would consult your vet on the amount of both based on your dog's weight and any health issues he/she may have.

Feed 1/2 of a small container on day one and the other half the next day. You will be amazed with results in just 24 hours. I got this from a Vet and have been giving it to my Boxers for years. Just a small container every few months keeps his coat soft and smooth and no dry skin. It has to do with the bacteria culture in Yogurt . This really works!
