COURTENEY COX'S UNUSUAL HOUSETRAINING
Courteney Cox has been having difficulty getting her dogs to use the potty pad on the balcony of her new condo, the actress revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Desperate to get the pooches to “go,” Cox made a last-ditch attempt to mark the pad as friendly territory by urinating on it herself. Apparently, it worked. But there’s a catch. “Unfortunately, a new grass pad comes weekly,” Cox said. “Once a week I'll be peeing (on it).” (The Ellen DeGeneres Show)

ANDREW GARFIELD AND EMMA STONE ADOPT A DOG
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone took another step forward in their relationship over the holidays when they adopted adopted a dog together, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Garfield and Stone brought home a 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Ren from Los Angeles’ Saving Spot Dog Rescue. At first, the pair took Ren home for a trial period, but apparently decided he was a good fit and quickly decided to adopt him officially. (San Francisco Chronicle) -
EMILY MAYNARD SHAVES HER CAT
Emily Maynard from “The Bachelorette” Instagrammed an unusual photo of her cat, Safari. The normally long-haired cat received an almost full-body shave, with its head, tail and feet left fluffy. Maynard was coy about Safari’s reaction the new look, writing, “Safari has never been happier. Really. I swear. #grumpycat.” Why on Earth this was done to Safari in the first place remains a mystery. It seems that Tara Reid has a new man in her life. “His name is Sam,” the actress tweeted alongside a photo of an adorable puppy. No details regarding how or when Reid acquired Sam, but he appears quite young — and quite cute! (Twitter) -
ROBIN ROBERTS REUNITES WITH HER DOG
A hundred days after her bone-marrow transplant, Robin Roberts of “Good Morning America” was reunited with her beloved dog, KJ, according to E! News. Roberts was not allowed contact with the pooch due to her weakened condition, but after regaining some strength, the friends were back together for the 100-day milestone. “Can’t believe she’s finally home,” Roberts tweeted. BRIGITTE BARDOT WILL RENOUNCE FRANCE IN PROTEST OF ELEPHANT EUTHANASIA
Legendary French actress Brigitte Bardot says she will leave her home country and become a Russian citizen if two sick elephants at a zoo in Lyon, France, are euthanized, reports CNN. Bardot has offered to care for the elephants herself through her foundation, but it doesn’t seem likely that the zoo will turn over the animals. Bardot is likely inspired by actor Gerard Depardieu’s recently becoming a Russian citizen in protest of French tax hikes. (CNN) -
MIRANDA COSGROVE ADOPTS NEW PUPPY
Miley Cyrus isn’t the only young celebrity to deal with the recent loss of a pet by adopting a new puppy. Miranda Cosgrove also brought home a fuzzy new friend. The puppy, named Penelope ("Penny" for short), was a Christmas gift for the “iCarly” star. In October, the dog Cosgrove had since kindergarten sadly died. We’re sure Penny will prove to be a worthy new companion. (E! News) -
