Lucy's Recent Holiday Adventures
Happy holidays! It's that time of year when you'll see lots of four-legged pawsengers at airports. I've sniffed the scent of quite a few pooches while going through airport security recently. At SFO, a TSA agent looked at me and said, "That's the third Pomeranian I've seen today." As if! I'm so tired of correcting people who can't see that I'm a longhair Chihuahua. Isn't my attitude a big giveaway?
Moving right along, I traveled to Arizona for 10 days of business and pleasure during Thanksgiving. I checked into the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North for a travel writers' conference and couldn't stop wagging my tail when I saw the homemade dog bones that awaited me. The Food & Beverage Director heard how much I liked the treats and sent two extra packages to my room. Mistake! I couldn't stop eating them. Could it have been the bacon and butter that drew me to the bones like dogs are drawn to dark spots on a sidewalk?

When I wasn't busy woofing down my treats, I romped on the lawn and lounged poolside in a cabana. The staff fell in love with me and always greeted me when I pranced through the lobby. I attended seminars and luncheons with other travel writers and hung out at a party with my colleagues, Jill Robinson and Kimberley Lovato.

Those two wild and crazy women both adore me and my writing skills, so I let them take a picture with me for my blog. But the real highlight of my trip was a day trip to Sedona. The red rocks were so mesmerizing. I've never seen anything like that. Sedona is super serene.

I was in such a peaceful state of mind that I didn't even bother chasing the ducks floating in the creek at L'Auberge de Sedona, a gorgeous resort where I spent an afternoon. I can't wait to stay there because they have these super adorable Cain & Able bathrobes for doggies. Feeling rather naughty after my trip to Arizona, I snuck away to Sin City for a couple of nights. I stayed at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, but that's all I'm going to tell you, because you know the saying, what happens in Vegas....
