Residents have no idea what the culprit is and believes that it only comes out at night. Deputy County Judge Executive Rusty Newton said, "It's not doing it to kill the animal to eat, these animals are just being mauled. That's where the mystery is at this point."
Neighbors are banding together in hopes of discovering the mystery predator. One couple believed they found tracks from the creature. Another man, Frank Edwards, said that he plans on setting up trail cameras. County officials are planning a meeting to warn neighbors of this unexpected and deadly visitor.

It looks to me it's a bob cat, wolf or even a fox foot print, nothing more!!! It could even be a ferrel dog!!

Wolves have historically been found in Kentucky (both red and grey), but have been extirpated from the wild in Kentucky, as of 2011, according to an article on eHow.

December 13 2012 at 8:46 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThose prey animals would still eat their prey. The only animal that behaves like that is a human.
December 13 2012 at 7:03 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyNot true, it's been documented that some lions did this before, although there isn't enough information in the video for us to know that the people being interviewed really know what they're talking about it, but the evidence suggests the animals are not killed for food.

December 13 2012 at 7:43 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have to agree, some of these idiots must still live under rocks and are a dumb as rocks!!!
December 14 2012 at 8:44 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate downThe track they showed is a canine. A large "feral" dog would fit the bill, and the description of what it does to the animals it attacks fits with how a dog would attack livestock (or people).
December 13 2012 at 3:06 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThey don't really know how to kill an animal, so they chase and chew on it.
A killer whale disables a seal so it can go slower to teach it's young to hunt.
December 13 2012 at 3:06 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis might be a training session of some kind.
Maybe it's just being territorial?
Someone should be their like the discovery channel also less chance of killing whatever it is.
